Sales and New Business – Are you hungry?

Every once in a while I turn into a superhero – or a beast.

That’s how it feels anyway.

What do I mean by that?

I get hungry!

Here’s how it happens. I get this feeling in my stomach. It’s like a wildcat stalking its prey. I feel, I know, something is about to happen. I’m about to make something happen.

Patience … gone!

Thinking … out the door.

There is only getting what I want.

This feeling makes me anxious to sit still. Makes me panicked if I wait. I get angry. I want to kill something! I want to make a sale! I need new business!

I pick up the phone. I call. I push. I call another and another and another.

I’ve learned that people won’t take my advice if I push too hard, but I can’t stand taking no for an answer.

If they are resistant, I push to see if they are open to a new idea. If they aren’t, I get them off MY phone as fast as I can.

I don’t have time for excuses, whiners, complainers, and people who are comfortable.

My fingers bleed from dialing and dialing. Can I make 100 calls in a day? What about 150? What about 200?

I have no patience for waiting, vacillating, thinking, hemming and hawing.

I’m hungry! I need to be fed!

The NO’s make me even hungrier.

I know there is someone waiting for my call. Someone with money to give me. Someone who recognizes an exceptional value when they hear it.

I’m pacing back and forth, back and forth. Looking to make a deal.

It’s like a drug, and I need a fix.

I think about the common people. Especially in America. 80% have less than $3,000 in the bank. 67% are living paycheck to paycheck.

Almost everyone is broke.

They are comfortable.

Weak fools!

There are adventures to be had. Life is waiting.

I can see they are just waiting. For what? I don’t know. Maybe for death.

That’s what being comfortable is … death.

Those that push, strive – those that are hungry – they are living. They can take advantage of the opportunities available to them.

They say we are free in America.

Maybe we have that potential.

But, freedoms are purchased – with cash.

Food, house, car, health, travel – you need cash.

Right now, I’m uncomfortable! I want sales and new business!

I made 47 calls on Friday.

I’m pissed!

I feel like making 1,000.

I want to go to bed exhausted from all the deals I’ve closed.

I don’t have time for the weekend.

I’m hungry.

I can’t wait for Monday.

When Monday does come, I’m going to jump out of bed, throw the curtain open, look out at the world and proclaim to every business owner in the country, “You’re mine!”
