In this marketing example, we will discuss the Game of Thrones Season 4 marketing efforts to explain why we should “always be selling” our products and services.
I am sure you have seen or heard the term Game of Thrones in the last couple of months. Even if you don’t watch Game of Thrones, it is almost impossible that you have not heard the term lately.
The reason you have been seeing and hearing about Game of Thrones is because the new season starts this Sunday and everyone involved with the show wants to make sure you hear about. Note that I said, “everyone involved with the show.”
The actors, directors, writers, and television network executives are all working together to spread the word about the show to as many people as possible.
Marketing efforts for the show can be seen on:
- Talk Shows
- Magazines
- Podcasts
- Radio Shows
- Actor Appearances
- Games
- Website Ads
- Other Movies
A great deal of effort goes into marketing a show to make sure it is successful. It needs to be sold constantly and promoted by the entire team.
The reason I am pointing out the fact that a lot of effort goes into the success of a show is that you must do the same for your product or service.
You must constantly think of ways to bring your goods in front of your customer. You must create campaigns and brainstorm new ways of telling your customers about you, what you do, and why they need to buy your product.
The fact is, selling your product or service is an ongoing effort for the life of any successful business. You must be in front of your customers all the time, like the Game of Thrones, you will be successful season after season if you never stop selling!
