If you’ve got kids at some point, you’re going to have to answer the question. Where do babies come from? Well, even though they’re adults, most business owners have a similar question. Where do leads and sales come from?

Get ready to giggle because in this video, we’re going to talk about the birds and the bees of business.

So as always, the best way to understand what we’re talking about is to start with the Client Magnet System.

The Client Magnet System is the complete model for uniting and aligning sales and marketing, and creating an inbound and outbound client acquisition engine in your business that attracts more leads, boosts sales, and energizes your growth. And remember, you want to align sales and marketing because they’re just like the wheels of a car, you want them working together, moving in the same direction. So you get this and not this.

There’s four layers or stages, tools, traffic, client acquisition, and post sale. We’ll cover all of it in future videos, but in this video, we’re discussing data pools in the traffic layer on the sales side of the map.

Okay, so what do I mean by data pools. When you look at the Client Magnet System map, you see that data pools is in the traffic layer. Now, as with everything else in the traffic layer, data pools relates closely to the ideal client profile persona you’re targeting.

When we say data pools, we’re referring to the resources available to get lists of contact information for your ideal client profiles personas from there’s three ways to get lists, build, scrape, and buy.

The entire marketing side of the map is dedicated to building lists, where you use content to attract leads who exchange their contact information for it.

But on the sales side of the map, you either buy or scrape lists, which is what the term data pools refers to. You filter these lists to identify leads and prospects using research and outbound sales, which we’ll talk about in the next videos. So let’s talk about the data pools you can use to buy and scrape lists with.

Buying Lists

There’s a couple of different ways to buy lists of leads, and each method gives you a different quality of lead. The obvious choice is Data Axle, which used to be info USA, but there’s other similar ones like Dun and Bradstreet, Hoover’s Experian, and exact data. These tools give you access to existing lists of leads, which means the lead quality is lower than other methods. There are also other types of lists you can buy. Typically, for b2b businesses, these lists come from associations, groups, events, or even other businesses. And these lists are generally more accurate because the people and the businesses that are in the lists, paid to be a part of that event, or group or Association

Scraping Lists

Ever heard of LinkedIn? Its data pool sites like LinkedIn that are great to scrape. LinkedIn has information about your ideal client on it, which makes you think, if you can find a target profile, you can scrape their information from LinkedIn and build a list that way. And there’s software and scripts that make it possible to scrape LinkedIn. Though not necessarily easy. The problem is LinkedIn doesn’t like it. Luckily, there’s a better way that’s actually faster, and you won’t lose your account.

Scrape your target data by hand and use third party software to enhance or enrich your data with contact information, like phone number and email address.

Hybrid Approach

Then there are hybrid tools that let you use artificial intelligence to pull lists of leads that instantly pulls pre made and pre scraped lists, then uses 10 or more different data sources to cross check and verify that data.

One of the best hybrid tools is seamless.ai. Because of the instant verification process from a variety of different sources, the data quality is supposed to be very accurate.

Using these sources. These data pools, you can develop any size list you need for any niche or target you want to reach out to.

And that answers the question Where do leads and sales come from? At least on the sales side.

Anyway, that’s all I got for you this week. Make sure to like subscribe and hit the bell to be notified when we put out new videos. We’ll see in the next one.
