Scientists tell us that over 1 million years ago there was an extinction event that completely wiped out the dinosaurs.

It might have been asteroids from deep space hurtling towards the earth and impacting with such force that the planet spun on it’s axis. Clouds of earth and debris blasting into the air creating clouds that engulf the earth in darkness — bringing on the age of ice.

The “federal program that began as a last resort for a few million hungry people, has grown into an economic lifeline for entire towns.”

The program now called SNAP, formerly “Food Stamps” has grown exponentially in the past 4 years. It’s up to $78 Billion a year. BILLION! To put that into perspective, the Golden Gate freaking bridge cost just $1 Billion dollars and took 10 years to build!

The Washington Post wrote an article that explains how one-third of the town gets a portion of $2 million dollars a month in spending power on a SNAP card. On the first day of the month, the money is available, and the food stores in the town all pull out all the stops to attract the SNAP customers their way.

In just one day, the first of each month, $2 million dollars is spent on a months worth of groceries. “Every store has a gimmick” to get the SNAP card wielding customers to spend their, uh the Government’s, um … OUR money. [Read more…]

What Is Direct Response Marketing

You are leafing through a magazine, and you see an ad for Nutrisystem. Look it’s Marie Osmond posing by a beach. She looks good. You skim down the right side of the page, past her before and after photos, and read:

“Get the results you want so you can enjoy fun in the sun! Nutrisystem success is guaranteed to work when other diets have failed you!”

You skim some more and see: “It’s Easy,” “It Works,” “It’s a Great Value.”

At the bottom of the page is a large boxed area that looks like a coupon. You see in large bold type, “Save up to 50%!” and some other information with a gold seal that says, “Risk Free Guarantee.”
