Welcome to the M5!

Do you worry about your competition?

It is understandable, we Entrepreneurs are a competitive lot.

But if you are overly concerned about your competition, then it means one thing, and one thing only:

There’s nothing separating you from your competition.

If you have a unique point of differentiation, in other words, a unique selling proposition, then you wouldn’t have to worry about competition, there wouldn’t be any.

If you have built a brand that means something to the market, you don’t have to worry about competition, there isn’t any.

What that means is, you can focus on what you are doing, and get to it.

Sure, you want to look out at the marketplace and understand it so that you aren’t blindsided by other options, and new technologies, but if you are so worried about the competition that you won’t or don’t get started, then that’s a problem.

Get your message worked out, and start testing it. Develop your elevator pitch and use it.

In Silicon Valley, twenty-somethings who have no product, just an idea, a story, and an elevator pitch get investors to put up anywhere from 1 – 20 million dollars or more.

It’s the vision that matters in business.

If you are afraid of your competition stealing your ideas, or your customers…

You are doing it wrong.
