Typically, that saying applies only to home ownership because the proximity to schools, shopping, and work is extremely important when one is choosing a place to live.

However, if location is merely important, or nice to have, for homeowners, it’s life and death to some businesses. [Read more…]

The Next Marketing Tactic to Die: The Yellow Pages

yellow-pages-header

Yes, now that QR Codes are what I would call “officially extinct,” Yellow Pages are next in line for termination.

I received the new YP yellow pages for Gwinnett County on Friday. It’s 380 pages. I can recall a time when it was over 1,000. I actually remember getting 3 separate books one year.

But this year, instead of the 4 inch thick version I remember from my youth, this is a mere ¾ of an inch. It makes me think of those “Worlds Strongest Men” ripping phone books in half. Well, any IT guy can rip this one in half.

What is Marketing?

Marketing Monday – Episode 1 – What is Marketing?

Hello fellow Entrepreneurs, it’s Michael Miller with Mindwhirl bringing you a new segment which, I think, is going to be dynamite! A real winner!

We are revamping our M5 segment and moving from marketing tips every Monday to marketing training every Monday. After a lot of thought and sleepless nights, we decided to call it Marketing Monday. Catchy huh?

This is the first episode and, the reason I wanted to move to a different format is because I wanted to structure our marketing philosophy instead of giving you tips here and there. Even though some of those tips are incredibly valuable, you may not have the context to understand their value. I’m currently under the opinion that structured training will be more helpful to you. AND Since our number 1 goal is to give you the tools you need to make money and grow your business with marketing, … I think it needs to be more organized.
